Background & Rationale

Sports are meant to embody fairness, respect, and human dignity. Yet in Palestine, athletes are being killed, stadiums are bombed, and children are denied the basic right to play. Silence is not neutrality—it’s complicity. If we believe in the universal values of sport, we must defend them everywhere, including Gaza and the West Bank.

Historical Precedent
  • Athlete-led solidarity was pivotal in isolating apartheid South Africa.

  • Federations have acted before: teams and states have been suspended for grave violations.

  • It’s our moment now to uphold the same moral responsibility—kick genocide and racism out of the fields.
